cant wait

Less than 3 weeks time and I’m going to be baptized… no doubt I’m eagerly looking forward to it :) but the people whom I wish to be present to witness the baptism won’t be there… oh well. Time passes so quickly, it only seemed like one or two weeks ago that we began the baptism classes, but just last Sunday the interview was done with.

你毕业了!said Yuanli laoshi said at the end of the interview, haha. Speaking of which, it’s sad whenever I think that he will leave cnec eventually. I always enjoy taking 93 with him cos it’s interesting to listen to him just keep talking and talking. And he’ll even wait with me and continue to talk at the bus stop outside S’pore Bible College until my bus arrives. But every student from sbc is only to stay at their assigned church for two years. He said the reason why he detached himself from the youth was because it’ll be easier for him to leave us by then… so sad. Personally, I feel that he exemplifies what it means to rejoice in the Lord, cos throughout his stay with us these years, I’ve never failed to see a smile on his face. And while his jokes may be freezing cold most of the time, I think it’s not easy remaining cheerful and more than that, spreading his happiness to those around. Well at least I always smile when he’s around. That’s something I can learn.

As it may be another decade or two before there’ll be a major change in 大堂, I quickly seized the opportunity to snap a few photos :) Further below is Joshua laoshi applying sun block on Ci Yi. That was on the bus ride to Sentosa last week. He’s really cute, like how Jia Feng chuandao described him, blur blur de, haha.

The church is nothing more than bricks and cement if not for the people who gather inside every Sunday to worship God. I strongly felt this way a few weeks back when I was sitting at the bus stop outside waiting for Huan Dao to open the gate. This was before the English department returned. It felt so lifeless; the only sounds were those coming from the passing vehicles. Indeed, the church is unlike a temple where statues/ relics/ gods reside in them. Our God is a living one and doesn’t require man to build a home for Him, for He is omnipresent – He is everywhere at once.

Can’t wait for school to start! Kind of miss it, haha. A friend of mine once asked me to tell him when jc was over. Don’t remember it being so torturous, haha, quite the contrary in fact :) But I got a feeling I might take back my words when sch begins, seeing how most people are so busy with projects and rushing for impossible deadlines. But like Wan Xin said, hopefully I’ll still be able to smile through the storm by God’s grace.
