when i consider your heavens

As long as I could remember, I haven't had a dream that I knew I was dreaming. Yup, so this recent one I had is no exception, which is very funny when I think of it cos they are so ridiculous sometimes yet I (me in the dream) never doubt for a second that it is entirely bogus.

In my dream, I was being chased by a group of gangsters in suits, armed with machine guns who have a poor sense of aiming. So I ended up running into the basement of a multi-storey carpark and I see gun shots being fired in my direction, but no sound. Then parked nicely in the lots before me were brand new cars! Immediately I thought, maybe the keys are inside, so I proceeded to a black BMW with tinted windows and there, lying on the driver's seat were the car keys! With gun shots still raining down on the somewhat bullet proof car, I professionally reversed the car and drove off, and it’s hilarious cos my view has changed such that I could see the whole car, haha.

Well it gets funnier because a while later, I got down from the car, ran back to the parking lots, was spoilt for choice by the numerous transformer-looking cars, finally getting into a red roofless Audi (with the keys magically on the driver’s seat as well) then fleeing to safety.

What an adventure.

I went to see a doctor for my flu today and I'm feeling better after taking the medication :) quite thankful even though this means I've broken one of my new year resolution – don’t fall sick this year; cos I really can't do anything but rot in bed when I'm ill :(

The doctor was quite nice as he explained the different kinds of flu to me, the only problem was that I didn't know most of the terms he was using, haha. This reminds me of a soccer match with some medicine undergrads my friend told me about. My friend was lying on the floor in pain after banging someone, and the medical students were standing around him discussing his injury using terms a normal person wouldn't understand, like "He injured his dunno what" or "I think I will do a dunno what on him." and "No, I think his dunno what is injured, so you should bring a dunno what instead."

Anyway, I told the clinic doctor that the inside of my right ear itched too, he looked inside them with a special apparatus and asked why I think he looked at my right ear first before my left one. I was thinking then "Poor patients, they have to wait a bit longer outside because this doctor is quite talkative and I need time to think of the answer."

"To prevent cross infection?" I guessed.

"That's right, but I could have also checked your left ear first blah blah…"

Maybe this is what they say in marketing about retaining customers, hmm.

I was told that on a clear night outside our church, the stars can be seen clearly. So after last sat's tuanqi, I looked up from the overhead bridge and indeed the stars are there! Never noticed them there before. Then psalm 8:3-4 came to mind, 我观看你手所造的天,和你所安放的月亮和星星。啊!人算什么,你竟记念他?世人算什么,你竟眷顾他?
